TCS CAMPUS INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE:-

BTS Team : welcome to BTechShouter Udit,Good evening .
UDIT : Good evening.
BTS Team : So, Udit say something about yourself .I mean your brief introduction.
UDIT : My name is Udit Sharma,I come from Kumardhubi, Dhanbad,(Jharkhand).Presently I am doing my B.Tech in CSE stream from Asansol Engineering college,My hobbies are playing cricket and listening to music and Now I have got selected in 2012 TCS campus recruitment .

UDIT : Thank you .
BTS Team :Udit,Was it your first interview ?
UDIT : Yes it was the first interview of my life.
BTS Team : Great, Udit how was your feeling after cracking TCS campus interview?
UDIT : That feeling cant be described…..I really felt awesome,I gave about 80 % of the answers of the questions they asked me,so I had a felling that i have done well in my interview and could get recruited by TCS.
BTS Team : Yes Udit first Job is really memorable…for everybody.
UDIT : Obviously …and that too getting recruited by the largest IT company of India that feeling is unmatched with anything else.
BTS Team : Awesome, Udit how many round have they taken?
UDIT : For me,It was just one round there were two technical interviewers and one HR interviewer.
BTS Team : You mean there were three person in your TCS campus interview session ?
UDIT : Yes there were 3 interviewer in my panel.
BTS Team : So Udit ,What was the duration of your interview session?
UDIT : The interview continued for about 20 – 25 minutes.
BTS Team : Udit, How many question have they asked from technical and HR ?
UDIT : I guess there were 5 questions from hr and 15 -20 questions from technical.
BTS Team : Udit would you like share some of your Interview questions with BTech Shouter?
UDIT : Yes Why not it will be my pleasure.
At First when I entered the cubicle.They said me to take my seat, firstly they asked me to introduce myself I answered it confidently then the HR interviewer asked me what type of music do u like (because I said that my hobby is to listen music)? I said that i like rock music then another one asked me which rock band do you like,I said Linkin Park he smiled.
, I guess he too liked Linkin Park.He asked me which song of Linkin Park do u like?Then he asked what was the name of the previous album? Then he asked which was the first album of Linkin Park?
After that they started asking technical questions. The questions they asked were simple like
1.Give some examples of data structures?
2.what type of Tree in Data Structure do you know?
3.What is the difference between binary tree and Btree?
4.What type of languages constitute SQl?
5.What does drop statement do?
6.Can we get back to the table we deleted from the database ?
7.What is the use of delete statement ?
8.Can we get back the information we deleted using the delete statement?
9.Tell me the abstract of your training project?
10.What database did u use in your ASP.NET project.
11.It was Microsoft SQL SERVER 2008 R2 so they asked what does R2 means ?
12.one of them asked.if there is a tables containing name,roll no,dept_roll no as primary key and we have a UI from which we will enter this data into the database .So, in this suppose we enter the same sata twice what would happen ?
13.They saw that I took a 1 year drop so they asked did I appeared for any engineering examinations before.
And From HR
1. what does my mother and father do?
2.Do u have any siblings? what does he do ?
3.Do u have any problem with relocation and there were many more.but at this time i can remember just this…

After giving such an awesome TCS campus interview how was your feeling? Was you sure about your selection or little bit in confusion?
UDIT : It was 50-50. What actually happened is that when i finished my interview i was quite sure that they would take me.But after that day all the four direct PI students from our stream got call that will be re interviewed tomorrow. I was shocked then again many of my friends who cleared there aptitude test and went for the interview were also called back for re interview. Thats why I got a bit confused of what would happen.I even called my TPO (training and placement officer) to make it clear that i was not called for any re interviews and he said no your names not there. Be cool and after that day.Our result was announced and I got the good news.

Udit, now I would like to ask something about your preparation and hard work for TCS campus Interview ?
UDIT : Yes sure
BTS Team : How much dedication have to devote to clear TCS campus interview?
UDIT : Obviously you have to be dedicated to this thing from the core of your heart and I was, I knew the break which I wanted in my career could be provided by TCS, So I did everything possible in my reach to clear this TCS campus interview.
BTS Team : Nice…Udit would you like to say anything for your juniors and friends who are seeking for this job?
UDIT :
I would like to give one suggestion to my juniors and all friends that if you are thinking that TCS is a mass recruiter so i will get into it somehow….you cant be more wrong than this because this year i saw it was very tough to get into TCS So prepare hard for TCS no negligence, Get your basics very clear be it any subject you may be of any branch that is ME, AEIE or else.
BTS Team : Thanks Udit. Udit what was the total no. of students shortlisted for this TCS Campus drive from your college ?
UDIT : 380 sat for aptitude test and 49 got interviewed directly as per TCS direct PI criteria and as far as i know it was 150 got clear their aptitude test and forwarded for their Interview.
BTS Team : ok Udit,Then at the last what was the total no. of student got selected from your college ?
UDIT : It was not the good as previous year,this year the total number of student selected was 137.
BTS Team : Now Udit some question from your personal life. Who is your inspiration point ?
UDIT :
I met a person in my gym his name was Shakil . When I saw him i startled by seeing his physique but when I saw his legs. I felt really bad. He was struck by polio so what I took from him is that. Be it anything. Any problem if you dedicated,You will obviously succeed.
BTS Team : By judging this your personality says that Udit you are not only a good candidate for TCS you are a good person and everybody should learn from such condition that if you need anything from your heart you will get sure…. Udit Would you like to say thanks anybody who helps you to make your dreams true?
UDIT : Obviously first i would like to thank my parents…who supported me from the very beginning of my life I would like to thank those teachers who taught me from nursery to BTech. I would like to thanks god..for making my dream come true….
